Creating a Vision Through Strategic Partnerships

In November of 2013, the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a feasibility study with the assistance of Convergent Non-profit Solutions to gauge community interest and commitment for the WACC to offer and manage a Business Incubator in Wetumpka’s downtown historic district.

The results of the study were overwhelmingly favorable and indicated a campaign to raise funding for the project could be successful. The study involved 60 Wetumpka and Elmore County community businesses, elected officials at the municipal, county and state level in addition to members of the community. The Impact Wetumpka Campaign was conducted and thanks to the hard working community and investors, a beautiful new renovation in the heart of Wetumpka's Business District is the result of that iniative, offering start-up businesses office space at highly competitive lease rates.
